Self-assembled and affordable air purifier bridging craft with technology
CONTEXT
Air pollution is a severe problem across the globe, and the situation is getting worse with each passing year. A recent report by the World Health Organization (WHO) suggests that 9 out of 10 people worldwide breathe polluted air. The high levels of pollution have severe health impacts, such as respiratory illnesses, heart disease, and lung cancer. Hence, there is a need for a cheap air purifier that can help people breathe cleaner air and improve their health.
PROJECT
An air purifier that is affordable for everyone and is made of eco-friendly material that can be easily assembled with a DIY Arduino kit. The air purifier will measure the Particulate Matter - PM 2.5 and PM 10 levels in real-time and provide a cost-effective solution to mitigate the effects of air pollution. The air purifier is equipped with a fan that draws air through a filter made of activated carbon and HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) material. The AQI-PM sensor displays the air quality levels on an LCD screen, allowing users to monitor the air quality in their homes.
