A study in virtual environments - from escapist to functional

Blue or Red Pill?

Recreating the iconic Matrix scene with the offerings of a red pill and a blue pill, the viewer can embark on a multi-sensory experience in a VR headset. The red pill takes will change the scenery to ruin, while the blue pill takes the viewer into a futuristic landscape with coiled structures and cars parked in the sky. Rendered in Twinmotion and hosted on Sketchfab, the viewer can teleport to the various spots just by looking at a circular dot marker.

Ball in your court

The rules are simple. With the push of a button, control the yellow balls to move the rest of the objects in the opponent’s court. There are cylindrical objects as obstacles. The number of balls and obstacles keep increasing as the player advances to the next level. ‘Ball in your court’ can be played on a PC device and a VR headset.

Grand Gallery - Distant Lands

A VR experience presented at the prestigious Grand Gallery in the RISD Museum.

A digital twin of the Grand Gallery was created using a 3D scanner. The experience lets people experience the gallery in a virtual space, where one of the walls has videos playing and other spheres can be grabbed, moved or thrown around. The idea was to give the viewer autonomy to select and choose how they perceive or modify the gallery. A holographic light in the middle enables visitors to experience the sphere in a different light and (in progress) load a new projected image for the walls.
